2010 Latina/o Advocacy Day is all about DIALOGUE:::ACTION::IMPACT

2010 is a big year for our Latina/o community in Colorado and across the United States. Now more than ever, we must show our power and voice to influence the policies that guide our lives!
We are anticipating over 200 attendees to gather and learn about issues of education, immigration, health-care, and economic justice/civil rights.
WHY LAD IS IMPORTANT:
The
goal of this nonpartisan event is to create a Latina/o voice at the
Colorado state capitol to hold elected officials accountable for and
responsive to the needs of the Latino/a community of Colorado.
By
the end of the day attendees will gain training from the best lobbyists
in Colorado on how to keep our elected officials and policy makers
accountable.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS:
Latina/o Advocacy Day organizers based all legislative analysis on the
values of justice, freedom, access, opportunity, and concern for others.
Colorado Latina/o Advocacy Day is co-convened by COLOR, Latina Initiative and Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition .
