I may never understand why people feel entitled to decide what is right for another woman’s body, why it has to be a fight to receive bodily autonomy. I, along with many other women, can agree that starting a family is not in our near plans, and we should not be punished for having sex. That is why having access to birth control, condoms, abortion, and preventative measures such as Plan B are essential to our well being. Many people do not want to acknowledge the cruel reality that is associated when those rights are taken away from us. Abortion is not an easy decision, but when a woman wants to terminate a pregnancy, she will do whatever it takes even if it means putting her life at risk. Every year, more than 68,000 women lose their life due to an unsafe abortion, and of the women that do survive, many will have to live with long term complications.
Abortion care must remain legal, and must become accessible to everyone. #AbortionCareforAll
