La justicia reproductiva no se detiene en la frontera. El derecho a controlar tu cuerpo, tu familia y tu futuro no desaparece en funci\u00f3n de d\u00f3nde naciste o cu\u00e1l sea tu estatus migratorio.<\/span><\/p>

Nunca se trat\u00f3 solo del aborto. La justicia reproductiva implica el derecho a tener hijos, el derecho a no tenerlos y el derecho a criarlos en comunidades seguras, saludables y sostenibles. Las comunidades inmigrantes tienen derecho a los tres, y en este momento, los tres est\u00e1n amenazados.<\/span><\/p>

La pol\u00edtica migratoria es pol\u00edtica reproductiva. Cuando las familias son separadas por la detenci\u00f3n o la deportaci\u00f3n, no se trata solo de un problema migratorio. Es un ataque directo a la capacidad de una persona para criar a sus hijos, formar una familia y proteger a sus seres queridos.<\/span><\/p>

El miedo altera la forma en que las personas toman decisiones sobre su propio cuerpo. Cuando buscar atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica conlleva el riesgo de exposici\u00f3n, deportaci\u00f3n o separaci\u00f3n familiar, las personas retrasan o evitan la atenci\u00f3n por completo. Esto incluye la atenci\u00f3n prenatal, las pruebas de salud reproductiva y el tratamiento de urgencia. El miedo en s\u00ed mismo se convierte en una barrera para la salud.<\/span><\/p>

Esta no es una lucha nueva ni aislada. La justicia reproductiva fue construida por mujeres de color que comprendieron que la autonom\u00eda corporal, la justicia econ\u00f3mica y la protecci\u00f3n contra la violencia estatal est\u00e1n interconectadas. Los derechos de los inmigrantes siempre han formado parte de esa visi\u00f3n, no son un a\u00f1adido.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0La justicia para los inmigrantes es justicia reproductiva.
