Our Commitment to Reproductive Justice

COLOR is a leading force in Colorado’s policy landscape, widely recognized as the go-to organization for reproductive justice and the intersecting issues that shape our communities’ lives. Through coalition work, community partnership, and a strong focus on dismantling systemic barriers—from immigration status to economic conditions, race, gender, and more—COLOR develops policy solutions that support safe, healthy, self-determined futures for all.

Our priorities are grounded in community voice and informed by the Agenda de políticas para los latinos en Colorado (CLA), a joint initiative with Voces Unidas that produces the state’s most comprehensive data on Latine voters. Together, the CLA’s statewide research, annual and biannual polls, and advocacy programs—including the Colorado Latino Policy Agenda poll, the Colorado Latino Exit Poll, and Día de la Defensa de los Latinos—equip communities and decision-makers with the insights needed to understand demographics, identify urgent issues, and drive aligned, impactful policy change.

To further our impact and reach, we are running our Latines Deserve Care Without Barriers campaign to build power within our communities and fight for a future where reproductive justice is possible for all Latines. Click below to learn more about our campaign!

Civic and Community Engagement

COLOR activates and mobilizes Latine communities year-round—not just during elections—through voter engagement campaigns, Latino Advocacy Day, educational events, and constant on- and offline organizing. By centering lived experiences, we inspire civic participation and build collective power through workshops, town halls, advocacy trainings, community conversations, cultural events, door knocking, phone banking, voter registration, and more. Our decades of organizing have fueled major reproductive justice victories, strengthened community relationships, and ensured culturally relevant voter education that combats misinformation.

As one of Colorado’s fastest-growing voting blocs, Latines play a crucial role in shaping our future, yet COLOR recognizes that political power extends beyond voting and that many community members—due to age, documentation status, or other factors—still contribute meaningfully to our movement and to the futures we are building together.

Programas juveniles

COLOR’s youth programs—Latinas Increasing Political Strength (LIPS) and the Youth of COLOR (YOC) Fellowship—cultivate the next generation of Latine leaders grounded in community, advocacy, and empowerment.

LIPS is a 10-week introductory program for Latinas ages 16–21 that uses an anti-oppressive framework to build skills in advocacy, organizing, and leadership, welcoming participants regardless of school enrollment or citizenship status.

The YOC Fellowship is a 10-month experience that develops young leaders in political advocacy, public speaking, and program organization; fellows contribute vital reproductive justice leadership, bring fresh perspectives, and design and lead their own programs and campaigns while working alongside COLOR staff and partners.

Together, these programs nurture emerging activists and equip them with the tools to drive meaningful social change.

We are currently recruiting LIPS participants and LIPS Mentors! Visit our Career Opportunities page to learn more about these positions.
