COPA’s signature annual event, the People’s Party on July 20th from 11 am to 2 pm in Aurora, is a time to gather in the community with performances, activities for kids, dancing, food, and lots more! They’ll celebrate wins from the past year and share what they’ve got in store for the fight ahead. Buy your tickets here.
Local Theater Company’s The Democracy Cycle – From a mobile home park in Boulder to a jail cell in Denver to an unlikely council gathering in Gunnison, the three Democracy Cycle short plays reflect the stories of distinct Colorado communities. Join for staged readings of these works that ask: where can we find shelter—a home—in these turbulent times? The answer may not be as far as we think.

Volunteer Spotlight! 🧡
In March, over 35 volunteers joined COLOR to build over 100 hygiene kits for recent migrants in Denver. Without them, we could not have packed these kits with essential supplies like laundry detergent, pregnancy tests, emergency contraceptives, and sunscreen. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped us make these kits possible, especially those who donated supplies and Legacy High School volunteers who brought over 10 volunteers to our event!
