The One Where COLOR Starts a Blog

Hey there! We are so happy you clicked on this lol. You may be wondering to yourself: What is this? Like a legit blog?

The answer is: YES and YES! And you happen to be reading the first official release 🙂

Anyways, before we start spilling the tea on what is happening in the reproductive justice world or sharing important chisme about things you need to know impacting Latine communities in Colorado, let’s talk about why we decided to start a blog

We know a large majority of our base is following us on social media (if you aren’t following us on socials, then what are you doing?), but we also find that solely talking and connecting with you on social media has lots of limitations. It is not sustainable or possible to talk about the nuances and complexities of reproductive justice and issues impacting our communities on Instagram or Facebook. These ideas and conversations deserve to live and prosper in a safe space outside of mainstream media.

So with that, El Siglo de COLOR was born. This is a place for us to really talk about what is happening in our communities with no filter or technical formality. We want this to be a safe space online to share our raw, unfiltered thoughts and opinions with you and vice versa.

Not only will we be talking about policy and what new bills mean for our people, but also sharing our favorite Latine owned coffee shops, tips for a self-managed abortion, stories and testimonies from your baddie self, and so much more!

This is how excited we are 🤭

Join us on this new journey of community and online connection because at the end of the day, we keep us safe, so we hope this blog can help bring us together and bring an essence of care to you.

Also, don’t worry about having to constantly check our page to see when we upload. We will be sharing announcements of our new blog posts on socials! So for starters, make sure you are following us on social media to stay up to date on the latest and greatest by COLOR 🙂

En solidaridad,

Nicole Guzman
