Our Mission

Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights (COLOR) is a community-rooted nonprofit organization that works to enable Latine individuals and their families to lead safe, healthy, self-determined lives.

Through community organizing, leadership development, policy advocacy, and cultural strategy, we shift systems and narratives. We’re not just protecting rights; we’re building a future where Latine liberation is inevitable and also joyful and generational, instilling hope and optimism in our community.

Our Vision

COLOR works to ensure Latine individuals and their families are accessing opportunities and resources for health of mind, body, and spirit.

Our Work

Founded over 27 years ago, we are powered by a bold team of movement builders, storytellers, policy experts, and organizers who reflect the communities we serve. Our work is grounded in intersectionality, cultural fluency, and the belief that liberation must be collective and bold. We mobilize Latine voters, protect our rights through legislative advocacy, train young leaders, and provide the policy education and tools our community needs to thrive.

We’re grounded in our community’s interests and intersectional in our approach. We focus on the issues that matter most to our community; autonomy, health care, civil rights, economic justice, and immigrant justice. Through the Colorado Latino Policy Agenda (CLPA), we lift up these priorities and turn them into power.

COLOR is a trusted statewide leader driving reproductive health and justice policies, breaking down systemic barriers, and advancing solutions that ensure our communities can live safe, healthy, and self-determined lives. By centering our lived experiences, we inspire civic participation and build the futures we want for our families and communities.

Our youth programs, Latinas Increasing Political
Strength (LIPS) and Youth of COLOR Fellowship,
cultivate a new generation of Latine leadership
who are grounded in community and trained to
advocate, mobilize, and lead.
