Four Years Since Dobbs. We Haven’t Stopped.

Four years ago today, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, changing the landscape of reproductive healthcare across the country.

We know reproductive justice has never been only about one court decision or one moment in time. It has always been about building the conditions in which our communities can thrive, with access to healthcare, accurate information, and the freedom to make decisions about our bodies, families, and futures.

Latines deserve healthcare without barriers, and we deserve a government that creates the conditions for our communities to live healthy, safe, and self-determined lives..

For 28 years, COLOR has been working alongside our communities to build a future rooted in health equity and reproductive freedom. We knew that protecting our rights required creating policies shaped by the people most impacted.

That vision helped lead to transformative policies like the Reproductive Health Equity Act (RHEA), passed in 2022, which modernized Colorado law and protected fundamental rights to contraception, abortion, and birth. RHEA became a powerful example of what is possible when Latinas, immigrants, young people, and LGBTQIA+ communities are not only included in conversations about our futures, but are leading them.

Today, we continue building a Colorado where reproductive healthcare is accessible, equitable, and rooted in the dignity, power, and lived experiences of our communities.
