We partnered with Millennial Loteria! Our mission to increase civic education and RJ power.
We’re so excited to share something special we’ve been cooking up at COLOR. We teamed up with Mike Alfaro — yes, the genius behind the wildly popular Millennial Lotería — to create a limited-edition Repro Justice Warrior card. And honestly? It’s as powerful as it is beautiful.
This digital Millennial Lotería campaign is all about starting conversations, making civic education feel approachable, and inviting Latines across Colorado to get involved in shaping our future. As Mike put it, “Millennial Lotería is about reflecting the world around us.” So partnering with COLOR to bring a civic lens to the game just made sense — because civic engagement can actually be fun, creative, and totally rooted in our cultura.
Together, we reimagined classic lotería imagery to show how different elected officials impact our daily lives — from healthcare and education to immigration, jobs, and even the environment. The goal? Make civic engagement feel less intimidating and way more connected to the issues our community actually cares about.
And because we love a good drop… we released a limited-edition merch collection inspired by our comunidad:
La Repro Justice Warrior
Soft pastels, cozy blues — for the dreamers, storytellers, and gentle leaders who move with heart.
La Guerrera
Bold blacks, greys, and oatmeals — for the fighters, organizers, and truth-speakers who always show up for our gente.
At COLOR, Lotería de Poder is more than cute cards and cool designs. It’s how we teach, organize, and tell the stories that shape our movement. In lotería, every card matters — and in our work, every person and every choice matters just as much. From policy advocacy to community accountability to reproductive justice education, Lotería de Poder helps our communities see the full picture: who holds power, how decisions get made, and where our voices truly make an impact.
Each card is an entry point. Each story sparks something. And each action helps us move closer to dignity, equity, and justice for all of us.
And because power isn’t a mystery, we’ve got you covered with a guide to the three levels of elected officials in Colorado — federal, state, and local — so you know who does what, how decisions affect your life, and where you fit into all of it.
En solidaridad,
Nicole Guzman
