WTF is COLOR’s Ballot Guide? Let’s break it down sis.

In case you didn’t know or were hibernating for the past year from the world, ELECTION SEASON IS UPON US

Okay but don’t freak out! As someone who has only been able to vote for the past 4 years, I know how scary and daunting elections can feel. There is so much legal jargon and framing, lots of information, and filling out your ballot can feel like a lot.

What if I told you that voting doesn’t have to be scary and overwhelming? This year, COLOR came out with its own ballot guide to help inform you on what each measure on the ballot is in simple language, as well as what a YES or NO vote means for each measure.

I really wish that I had this when I was a first time voter. Not only does it make my ballot easier to understand, it helps me understand the impact that my vote will have. Ballot guides are made to build power for voters and to have autonomy over our vote.

Wanna know the best part about COLOR’s ballot guide? It is also available in Spanish! There are very few resources available for Latine Spanish speaking voters so having a bilingual guide screams community power.

Now, you may be asking yourself…this sounds hella dope, now where can I access said ballot guide?

You can read the full ballot guide by clicking this link! Make sure to share the link with your friends, family, vecinos, maestros, colegas, etc. to make sure we can make a collective, positive impact on our communities in Colorado.

En solidaridad,

Nicole Guzman
