Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights (COLOR) is dedicated to building a movement of Latinas, their families and allies through leadership development, organizing and advocacy to create opportunity to achieve Reproductive Justice. This fundraising phone banking campaign will activate COLOR’s membership to donate to our star youth leadership development program Latinas Increasing Political Strength (LIPS) for the 10th anniversary.

COLOR is seeking professional and outgoing individuals to conduct phone canvassing in the afternoon and evenings, a temporary part-time position from June 2nd to June 29th. You must be high-energy, have strong communication skills, and dedicated to the values and political mission of COLOR.  

No prior experience is required.

 

Responsibilities

*Engage COLOR’s members through phone canvassing using the Voter Activation Network (VAN)

*Effectively use technology tools to ensure accurate and timely data entry

*Participate and complete all required training

 

Qualifications

*Must be over 16 years old

*Must have excellent communication and people skills; must be comfortable speaking with strangers and people from different backgrounds

*Ability to work with other staff and canvassers in a team

*Ability to work under deadlines

*Experience in phone or door-to-door canvassing is a plus

*Political campaign experience is a plus

*Spanish language competency is a plus

*Fundraising experience is a plus

*Must be able to arrive on time to launching location in Denver Metro area

*Opportunities for a lead canvasser position for someone who demonstrate additional experience will be  

considered on a case-by-case basis.

 

Hours & Hourly Rate

Canvassers work up to 20 hours/week. The position pays $15/hour.

Must be available from 4:30pm-8:30pm during the work week, including weekends (exact schedule will be talked about during interview.

Must be able to work at least 3 shifts per week

 

Location

Denver Metro area. Address will be given when an interview is scheduled.
